RAK STEEL Quality Control Laboratory is well equipped with qualified engineers and latest testing equipment like:

• Profile and Rib measuring machine
• Bar cutting from Struers
• Spectrometer from Spectra

 

These sophisticated instruments from reputed manufacturers are regularly calibrated as per manufacturers’ recommendations and together with well defined Quality Management Systems ensure RAK Steel rebars consistently conform to the quality standards required by customers.

 

RAK Steel has applied for the following international certifications so that customers can have full confidence that the systems are implemented and RAK Steel’s rebars, and customer service are of the highest standards.

 

The status of these certification processes is as follows:

  

RAK steel has a quality department well equipped with modern testing systems such as computerized ‘universal testing machine’ to ensure that the rebars meet high quality standards. The quality department also follows stringent quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure that the rebars manufactured are in compliance with various international standards.

RAK Steel is also in the process of acquiring different international quality certifications as recognition to its quality procedures and products. Recent developments on few of these certifications are listed below:

	RAK Steel has been audited and certified as an ISO 9001-2000 company as recognition to its compliance and commitment to quality by Intertek Systems, an accredited authority by SWEDAC for ISO certifications.
	CARES is an independent, not-for-profit certification body, established in 1983 to provide confidence to the users, purchasers and specifiers of constructional steels through a regime of regulation, testing and inspection. RAK Steel has initiated the process for accreditation by CARES as an international recognition to the quality of its rebars and it is expected to complete within few months.
	Dubai Municipality Central Lab provides a facility to test and certify various products for quality assurance. Certification is carried out against DM Standard Specifications, or, against established standards such as ASTM, BS, EN or ISO. The Dubai Municipality Lab's certification would be a further proof to the quality of RAK Steel's rebars for its customers in Middle East. The certification is expected to complete in next few months.
